 Exciting APC News!
I'd like to let everyone know that there have been several exciting developments recently at APC. First, we have a new parent organization, CrowdGather. Sanjay Sabnani is the Chairman of the company and recently introduced himself to the moderators. We're now part of a large group of forums that cover a wide variety of interests. CrowdGather has a skilled team of forum experts that will work behind the scenes to ensure that we maintain our status as the best aquarium plant resource on the Internet.
As a group of moderators, we've grown increasingly excited about what this change means for APC. This summer you should see a level of activity and energy that hasn't been possible before. New contests, expansion of the PlantFinder, improvement of the Fertilator, and several new projects will be announced over the next few months. One of the first will be to help CrowdGather set up a nice display tank for their office.
The look of APC may change slightly as a few changes are made to improve functionality and the appearance of the site. Rest assured that the core mission of APC has not changed and this site will continue to be directed by hobbyists.
Second, the other moderators have asked me to step in as a new administrator. I look forward to continued association with them and with all of you. This continues to be your site and we'll be looking for new ideas and interesting discussion from everyone.
You'll notice that I've changed my User Name from guaiac_boy to BryceM. I've been wanting to do this for a while and it seems like a good time to make the change.
Finally, an enormous thanks to Art Giacosa and Gnaster who founded this community several years ago. We still miss them and wish them the best in their future endeavors. We will all be working to maintain the friendliness and quality of the site to the standards they developed. Stay tuned! |
