rest assured there is no ulterior motive for suggesting that pictures be stored on the site or a short edit window, other than to keep threads and posts 'intact'.

In the past we've had blatant abuse by members deleting posts, making threads useless. That is when the edit time limit was started.

Most people don't save their pics with an identifiable name for google to find, so there is no ulterior motive there - the suggestion is made so that if members don't frequent the site the pictures in posts remain intact despite the original poster not montoring the thread. Broken links are innumerable on many forums for this reason.....
