I use DIY co2...it's a better for me because I don't have much money to spend for pressurized CO2 systems.

I dose Excel, but below the level that is recommended. I just give my plants a bit of a boost when I think they need it. I prefer not to have the robust growth that comes with CO2 as I'm lazy and don't want to have to prune all the time. I'd much rather sit and enjoy my tanks.

2 pressurized
1 DIY
3 none

I started off with pressurized but I am beginning to find DIY esp worth it. Short mixing time, and it lasts for a while for the strain of yeast I am using. Plus, quite costless.

I use DIY, I love the smell of yeast in the morning. Oh yea I also brew my own beer that could be the reason. Also I have good plant growth and it is more natural.

I use DIY on 2 tanks and pressurized on my big tank. I don't mind the DIY, not a big deal....

Wow, this post has been going for a while! I just converted from a 2 each 2 liter DIY system to a pressurized system today. I bought a used 5 lb. aluminum tank for $40 and also a used two gauge regulator for $35 on Craigslist! With the money I saved, I purchased from Rex Grigg his top of the line Ideal needle valve, fittings, two brass check valves, and tubing. Just set it up this afternoon, no more sugar and yeast mixing for me!
