Sheesh, John, you're making me feel old. And hey - you didnt' mention YOUR age, or at least age range.
I just turned 39. I was thinking 38, and actually had to pause a moment to figure it out. *SIGH*. I honestly still think of myself as 31-32, I don't know why.
And Pedro - you young thing, you! By your demeanor, I had envisioned you in your early to mid 30's.
Oh, and one more thing, John (and pardon me, but this is a giveaway on how Young YOU are.....). That last category - "60 + and still kickin'" ARGH! I know you meant it tongue in cheek, but I know many, many folks who are 60+ and by their behaviour, you wouldn't guess a day over 45! Seriously, the Baby Boom Generation truly is re-defining our stereotypes of certain ages. Perhaps "80+ and still kickin'" would have made sense, but the 60+ year olds that I know would have smacked your young tushy for implying such a thing! All in good fun, of course..... but your bottom would be hurting, because these folks are still STRONG - no weak and feeble there, LOL!
Yeah, I'm sure because of the format/technology, there will be a skew towards younger folks. And that was VERY perceptive to mention that certain age ranges wouldn't have available time for the forums. When I go to meetings of the Boston Aquarium Society, or Auctions in the NE area, the demographic THERE is very different than the demographic of online forums.
I also think that this hobby is one which appeals to people of above-average perception - there are many factors which we must be mindful of, to be successful. Many nuances to pay attention to..... I think that takes inherant maturity, regardless of your chronological age.
*sigh* But I do feel "old", with the center of the bell curve being younger than I!
