Default How much water do you change?

I've not seen this poll yet and I thought it would be interesting to see your results.

Please include any details you feel that are relevant i.e. fert regimes, tank sizes, CO2/non-CO2, fish kept etc.

5 out of 6 tanks are on a continuous water change system that varies from 50% per week to 100% per day at times.

all are soil based 3 are CO2 injected, the last tank is full El Natural with few water changes.

I use a continuous change system that replaces about 50% of the tanks water per week, plus I do normal changes of from 50 to 75% when it is appropriate to do so - meaning when I am trying to battle algae issues.

On a weekly basis I change out 25% of the water or I do 50% bi-weekly changes. On my fry tank I do water changes about 2-3 times per week, between 1-2 gallons each time.

I change half the water in all my tanks. My plants and fish both look better when I do.

I chose 30% to 40% because I use RO water and I can only make so much, about 50 gal a week and I have a 125 gal.
My 75 gal cherry shrimp tank gets 50% and my 20 gal long endler tank gets more than 50% (the 75 and 20 are tap water)

Trying the pps fert system with infrequent water changes. Will evaluate long term.

I do about a 50% water change on a weekly basis. I have rainbows and they love water changes! I plan on startin dosing with dry ferts in the near future and my current water change regime with coincide perfectly with the EI method!
