Another girly girl obsessed with tanks..

It probably has to do with time. When my kids were young, I didn't have much spare time/money for my stuff. Little kids take a LOT of physical, emotional and mental effort, not leaving a whole lot of time for hobbies. Now that they are nearly grown, I am free to putter with tanks and spend time online. That seems to bear out in our clubs too. Most of the members are men, the few women tend to be upper 30's+.

Strange how the ladies are so vastly outnumbered. Who would have thought? I though it was probably 60/40 men to women, but certainly NOT 80/20.....interesting.

I did think before that it would be an equal 50/50 mix of men and women. surprising to find out that more males are into planted tanks.

Wow I am a girl and I am amazed that this hobby is 80% male. I knew it was more but, not by that much.

Most woman are too busy raising kids and working to indulge in hobbies. Men don't seem to have any problem making time for their interests where as women do. I think it may be a generational thing, my daughter is very different from me. She will make time to do the things she finds fun & interesting, but she doesn't have any children yet.
