Do you keep them or get rid of them?

I keep 5-10 decent sized ones in my 5g, knocking off found eggs and sucking up occasional small ones as long as I have a few big ones. I back off if I find fewer larger ones. I only have a couple in my 46 so far - all very small, some may be MTS.

I keep them, they're the best algae crew I have. I have to occasionally thin them out in my heavily fed shrimp tank

Those and common rams are in all my tanks. I found it is far easier to let them be than worry too much about them. Plus they don't hurt any of my plants. If I find their population exploding then I cut back on my feeding amount and remove a few manually.

They don't really bother me. I have not had a population explosion and they seem to fill a role in maintenance.

I generally keep the regular pond snails, as well as rams horns and MTS. However, I do keep loaches as a means of population control. I find that the snails are generally helpful, although they do occasionally become a bit of a nuisance in my tanks.
