Default Filter/lily pipe Qs

Hi Rich

I'm now strongly considering the Eheim 2126 Thermo Pro II for my 125L (33G). I realise this is overfiltering by traditional standards but I'd like to use the P-4 ADA Lily Pipe too and I understand the recommended flow rate for my size tank using this is 600-800lph.

Does all the above sound good to you?

Will the the Eheim tubing fit directly onto the lily pipe?

Thanks
George

Hi George

On reflection I don't think it will be over filtering at all. A customer of mine recently bought an ADA filter for his tank 60x30cm. The filter itself was huge and weighed 10kg (beautiful piece of equipment by the way). Although I am not entirely sure the flow rate of it, I am positive it is much higher than what is considered "standard".

The flow rate on larger Eheim's is adjustable and the larger it is, the more cleaning power it has. Nick recently brought this up and I have to agree with him that a larger filter will be no problem at all - if anything it will work as an advantage and will also mean less maintainance.

The Lily pipes we stock are designed for 13mm tubing. Eheim 2126 has 16mm tubing but I can order you a Lily pipe for that size no problem - failing that we sell an adjuster that allows you to connect 12mm tubing to 16mm.
