Hey guys, I received my items from Aqua Forest Aquarium which consisted of:

-24 Inch Archaea T5 light fixture
-60x30x36 Do Aqua 17 gallon tank
-9L ADA Amazonia substrate
-3L ADA Powder Sand
-2L ADA Power Sand Special
-ADA 60x30 tank mat


First off, let me talk about their shipping. Shipping was done by both USPS for smaller items, and UPS for bigger items. The tank itself came by UPS and was packaged VERY WELL. My biggest fear was that it would arrived cracked or damaged in some way, but nope, arrived safely. They used a lot of those sealed air bags.

Shipping was between 2-3 and came super fast. I was always updated by email and in my AFA account.

Now on to quality. Each item I received was brand new in the package, and in perfect condition. Especially the T5 lighting unit. Man, its so sweet.. its made of aluminum and was packaged perfectly. Every time I saw a package on my doorstep, I got excited. Lol The tank quality was superb considering its made by ADA. No sloppy silicone, great construction, etc.

Customer service was awesome as well. Before purchasing ANYTHING, I sent a dozen emails asking many questions and I was replied to within a few hours. I was not expecting that, but it was an awesome experience. I thought for sure I was bugging them, but I received a polite response every single time.

Overall, I just wanted to say thank you AFA for giving me a great experience with each one of my 3 purchases.

Definitely recommend these guys.

I just purchased an ADA 60-P from these guys and I have to mirror your praise. They did everything right.

I purchased the 60-P, along with 10 pounds of Ohko stone, 9L of Aquasoil, an Archaea 50 watt heater, Garden Mat, and some Do Aqua pincettes.

First, I have to say, the 10 pounds of Ohko stone ended up being about 15 pounds. I probably should have ordered 20 pounds for a 60-P, but they were generous enough to give me the right amount. The shipping was extremely fast - everything arrived by UPS ground in 2 boxes about 4 days after I ordered it. I'm on the east coast and they shipped from California, so that was way faster than expected.

I also see they have a great selection of live plants and rare mosses. I will definitely have to put together a plant order sometime soon.

Thanks guys, for bringing this hobby to those of us that are unfortunate enough to live far away from real fish stores!

I just received a plant order from them. The plants were packaged better than anyone I have ordered from before, even though they were just mosses. I can't wait for them to get more plants on their site. Great company, fast shipping. Thank you AFA.

I've ordered from AFA about dozen times (or so) over past four/five years. Every order has been quickly delivered, well-packaged, and their email notifications are dead on. One thing in particular that I like about them is their stock: they usually have what I want available, and they are quite punctual in restocking. I ordered some christmas moss from them not long ago, and it was without-a-doubt the best quality moss I've ever received, let alone from a business. I think it was comparable to receiving fresh-cuts from someone via the For Sale forums here on APC—nothing at all like a typical vendor provides. I hope someday I'll get to check out their shop in-person, many thanks!

I do not get why people are saying they are good.

First of all, it takes days to return a email. I have have to email them multiple times to get repsond.
Second, most items are more expensive than ADG.
Third, higher shipping cost compare to ADG.

Lastly, I was so disappointed with the customer services. I ordered an 60 H (45) and received a call from them said I would need to buy the wooden box. I just do not get it. Why do not you pack it really well to avoid the damage. There are many ways to pack a glass tank. Double box, triple box? Why can other online store do it and only YOU, AFA need a wooden box. It is a rip off to charge customer $75 on top of everything. The phone conversation did not go well too. Whatever I asked, he would reply me "NO~~~~". I could not feel he was a helpful person.


At the end, I cancel the order and never looked back.

ADG has new shipment in May.

Yeah, I normally do business with ADG but they were out of superjet ES-600's. I asked AFA if they would MATCH ADG's price, which was $100 CHEAPER (I thought ADA set those prices for their distributors? ) and they told me no.

So I ordered from ADG, plus got the "bonus" points. Well worth the wait.

Agree, agree, and agree. AFA is more expensive and whatever you asked, AFA said "No~~~" with a strange long sound.

Yes, they did ship and pack my pervious order well. However, 99% of stores will pack and ship the orders well. What really annoyed me was the attitude of the guy. He was basically telling me f you and come again if you want me to rip you off.

I am purchasing one additional tank and planning to go ADA all the way route. Well, AFA lost me as a customer and created a angry customer.

I've had great experiences with AFA and ADG. Glad to have AFA in my "backyard." Bought a Mini-M and Mini-Solar M from ADG when AFA was out. Great service.
