Question Difference between Iron Bottom and Multi Bottom?

These two products:

http://www.adgshop.com/Iron_Bottom_p/104-101.htm
http://www.adgshop.com/Multi_Bottom_p/104-103.htm

I take it these are ADA's "root tab" products.

Are they designed to be used together? Or should it be one or the other? If so, what situations should you use one as opposed to the other?

Yes, these are the ADA equivalent of a "root tab" type product.

Use the Multi-Bottom in most applications and the Iron Bottom when more iron is desired for plants like Ehinodorus (look for pale leaves with otherwise good size and form). Cyperus helferi is another I have seen still gowing nicely, but where new blades are looking a bit pale.

I use them together just as a matter of covering all the bases in terms of additional substrate fertilization on heavy root-feeder plants (Swords, crypts, Cyperus helferi).
