Default ADA Drop Checker

The ADA drop checker is a very interesting and nice looking device, but it is not in stock now. Do you have any idea when it will be available?

Does it measure ppm of CO2 independent of the parameters of the water in the tank? By that I mean does it bypass the problem of things like tannic acid from wood, or alkalinity from phosphates in the water?

The website illustration suggests that the only levels it indicates are: too little, too much, and adequate CO2. Is this true? If so, what ppm does adequate correspond to?
