Default Amazonia II-- Observations and Impressions

Having used Amazonia II on 3 tanks now, I must say I am sufficiently impressed. I was a little worried that it would lack some of "out of the gate" the amazing growth performance I had always experienced with regular Amazonia, but that has simply not been the case.

I have observed no noticeable difference in initial growth, and without a doubt there are far far fewer "new tank" issues to deal with (cloudy water, tannins, etc.). The pace seems very measured and water has remained exceptionally clear from week 1. Generally speaking have had less "new layout algae" issues as well, but that could just be luck.

Overall, after some initial concern, I am very confident and comfortable in highly recommending Amazonia II.

I liked it too, but don't have any previous experiences to measure it against.

Thumbs up Re: Amazonia II-- Observations and Impressions

I have setup two different tanks. One with regular Amazonia and one with Amazonia II. The Amazonia II is far superior. Like Jeff said, the tannins and cloudy water were almost non-existent compared to the regular Amazonia.

My plant growth has been exceptional as well. I did have a really high ammonia spike that lasted almost 3 weeks. I think that has more to do with the fact that the Amazonia II tank is an Iwagumi with only hairgrass and dwarf and giant chain swords.

I'm still getting the same beneficial reduction in PH, GH and KH that regular Amazonia gave me too.

I really like this new stuff!

Thanks for everything you do for us Jeff,
Brian

I'm also using Amazonia II and not seeing any "new tank" issues. Definitely recommended!
