Default ADA Style Oceanic 75gal. just arrived

We just received the first Oceanic "ADA-style" tank- 75 gallon. It's pretty nice. Not quite the "fit and finish" as found on the ADA tanks- but nice. What's not-so-nice is the price. As it sits, this is still custom- whereas the ADA tanks are "production"- so it looks like I'll be able to offer the ADA tanks for actually less than the equivalent dimension Oceanic. I will soon add the ADA tanks with specs and pricing to the website. I was waiting to see what was going to play out with the Oceanic. Now that I know-at least for now- the ADA tanks look like a pretty good option.

This tank is Starphire glass also by the way.

also- this is the tank we will use for Oliver Knott's presenation. It will be combination of ADA, European and US products- ADA substrate, Lily Pipes, 8,000K HQI bulbs. Oceanic tank, Eheim filters, Coralife light fixture, Aqua Medic CO2 reactor. We will collaborate with Oliver on the layout and hopefully give the tank a really unique internationally-influenced feel- drawing from the best of various styles.

Wow, that must have been pretty damn expensive if the ADA tanks are cheaper. I never did think the ADA tanks were too badly priced for the quality you get...well taken care of it should last many many years.

That must have been an expensive tank. Not sure how much cheaper you can get ADA's Wild Glass Clear. Even the 120x45x45CM, ~64 gallons, is cataloged at 120,000 Yen or around $1,200USD. ADA Wild Glass Blue type for the same size is cataloged at only 45,000 Yen or $450USD.

I also noticed the large band of adhesive that runs down the side in that corner shot. At least the ADA tanks don't have this.

I too was waiting on how the Oceanic deal was turning out. I was somewhat a little disappointed on the Oceanic price. I agree with Ryan on the adhesive. The tank itself wasn’t too bad still trimless and no metal brace at the bottom. A 75 gallon ADA tank is definitely back on my wish list. [-o<
