Default 20g long aquascape journal

Here's a journal of my latest aquascape, a 20g long that I keep in my dorm:

Start date: January 10th, 2004:
No Picture.

February 17th, 2004:

March 4th, 2004:

March 14th, 2004:

March 29th, 2004:

April 2nd, 2004:

Tanks sure do change fast. After about a month of little growth, the tank started developing very rapidly.

Wow that looks awesome!! I am just starting a 20g long myself... How about some info on your tank: lighting, substrate, CO2 ?

Very nice, Carlos. I'm curious, I don't see the reactor in the last shot. Did you go to an external, remove it for the shot or just hide behind the central growth?

Here's the info:

Lighting: 2x20 NO Flo + 3x13w power compacts in the back with AH supply reflectors. If I were to do this again, I would go with 4x18w T8s using Zoomed bulbs (2 Florasuns and 2 Ultrasuns).

CO2: Pressurized 5lb cylinder fed into a mini-vortex reactor. Now, I am using an external reactor from Gomer.

Substrate: Fertiplant plus (thank you Luis Navarro!) capped over Eco-complete.

I take all my equipment out at the time of the photo --something everyone should always do.

I saw this tank in the AB 2004 competition and it was one of my favorites, great work!

It is always good to see how a 'scape progresses from initial planting to final photographing.
