Is there a type of driftwood that stays light colored after being in a tank for a long period of time.
It seems that many types of driftwood that start light colored turn dark over time. Looking for branchy driftwood that does not take up too much real estate.
www.manzanita.com It stays pretty light unless it gets covered in algae You want the branchy, thin sandblasted stuff. You're best bet is to call and explain what you are looking for. They guy is great to deal with over the phone.
Those folks aren't very responsive to emails unfortunately. I've been trying for a week. I bet calling will probably do the trick. Maybe next week I'll call.
Over time, the manzanita will turn more of a gray color. I don't know if that means it will turn your water red, though. It's a good idea to boil any new driftwood to sterilize and get the tannin out of it.
Thanks for the heads up that a little persistence is needed to place an order.
I did get a response to my email before calling and reaching a person to give order info.
What was the turn around time after placing an order to receiving the order?
