I just purchased a thin book called Aquarium Beautiful by Arend van den Niewenhuizen. It details the Dutch Aquarium. It covers the support (stand), planning a scape (using the golden intersection), the commonly used plants, and common fish. It is a quick read and definitely worth picking up. It is an old book (judging from the pictures). I would definatly recomend it werner.
I am fiddling around with some of the ideas I have been collecting. One thing I am beginning to wonder about it the terracing. It seems to me the more I delve in to it that the terracing is more of a look than actual terraces of substrate. I think making an "artificial" terrace with driftwood or cork to more or less corral the plants seems to be what I am seeing. I could be wrong.
I will, someday, build a tank 24X24X96 and turn it into my Dutch style tank. This will probably be a year or better before I have it all together but I will post my journey when I am done.
If anybody has more info or book recommendations I would be interested in getting every thing I can.
