Default ADA Mini-S Tank

My ADA Mini-S tank is growing in nicely.

But I kinda want to improve on it. From what I read online and in ADA books I learned that I made the mistake of not sloping it more, my substrate is too even... Also I think my rocks are too big, maybe I should take a hammer to one of them and make them into smaller rocks... I need a white background too I think... There also seems to be a lot of open space in the upper region of the tank... What do you guys/gals think? Any suggestions/pointers?

I really like the setup. I don't think the rocks are too big as long as you have space behind them to plant some tall background plants. I like your idea of the white background, but I think black would like really nice. As for the flat substrate, sloping it a bit wouldn't hurt.

I agree that a more sloped tank looks better. How many inches high is the aquasoil in the front and back? Obviously it would be a pain to rip out the plants in the front to create more of a slope. Maybe you could just add AS to the back and slope it down more and replant the hairgrass?

I like the setup but I see that you put the whole mini diffusor in your setup. Is there a reason it is like that? Keep up the good job. It is all about learning from your previous aquascapes.

I think that if I can put the diffuser lower it'll be more efficient. So the bubbles stay in the water longer... I don't know if it's true or not but that's my "theory".
