Default Rear grass for 10 gal

What's decent looking "val-like" plant for a 10 gal background? High lights/CO2/ferts.

I already have lots of "leafy" textures and I wanted to add some solely verticle lines and sort of a backdrop.

Some of the longer eleocharis species are very cool looking. Check out some the Iwagumi style layouts here and you'll see what they look like.

Crypt b is one of my favorites. Check out our "PlantFinder" for more ideas.

I like the looks of that a lot, but my question is; will I have to trim it a lot? I don't like the idea of cutting crypt leaves in half and I don't want to wait for new growth so that I can pluck the long stuff.

There is not trimming involved with Crypt b.. The only time I trim is when the leave(s) gets older and starts to die. Then I cut that leaf(s) off as close to the base of the plant that I can get.

How about "dwarf" onion? [i]Zephyranthes candida.[i] I have them in a 7 gal and they arch over & float on the surface. Nice effect.
