So as some of you know i have been away for a long time and well my tanks went downhill my wife who i never expected to do anything besides feed them and top off the water did try at first to maintain my tanks but she was quickly overwhelemed so in the end she feed and toped off the water for two years. Well im back now and the tanks are on the rebound. Today i tackled the fifty five so enjoy.

So here is the tank befor i started

Apperently crypts can be grown with no attention at all or at least this tank did

This one is for davemonkey

Extened outlet on a hot magnum

Now the tear down i also decided to change the substrate i went with black diamond sand blasting material

cyrpts and anubias

cyrpt wendentii

one of my two anubias

scooped out all of my old substrate and added the new stuff the water is muddy

Do you know were your monster is

Added almost all of my plants back into the tank split up both of the anubias Rhizomes into many little ones and re added to the tank this is what i was left with

Now the water is starting to clear and here is the tank

The tank is low light with EI ferts no co2 at the moment but well see how long that lasts thanks for looking

Dude! Your new scape is going to look really good. Is that an OSCAR?!?! At least you have plants that he can't mess up too bad. Yeah, those crypts are awesome...nearly bulletproof. Don't be surprised if they start dropping all their leaves after the rescape. That's normal for them and they'll pop right back in time (you probably already know that).

Thanks for posting the skull pic! ;)
