Hey guys, I picked up this 35-45gal hexagonal tank about a year ago from a yard sale and just never had time to set it up. Being away at college and not having a tank back home is starting to get at my :high5: dad , so I'm either going to set up my 56Gal or this hexagonal one. Pretty sure the hardscape is still set up in my 56 so I just want to focus on the Hex.
I've always loved bumble bee gobies and I noticed my dad does also:tea: ... so what I was thinking was to build a very tall and steep mound of rocks in the middle full of caves and crevices.
I was hoping the structure would provide enough "homes" for each to claim his own territory and maybe have little discreet territory battle like they would in the wild.:bounce::bounce::bounce:
I figured it might be a bit boring of a tank with just rocks :-k so I was wondering what plants could stand a brackish set up? :help:
I was considering a school of celebs for the open water and I saw that fiddler crabs might work as tank mates as well, and since I have a bunch in my back yard as well... :whoo: If I did this I would extend the rock mnt. a little bit out of the water for them to climb on. Not sure if they would try and munch on the celebs and would prob rule out shrimp... but hey....
-10 bumble bee gobies
-2 or 3 fiddler crabs
-10 celeb rainbows
Any advice or critiques? I have no idea on brackish plants out:
