So I decided that I am going to try to take daily (if not, as often as I can) pictures of the tank and uploading them. I want to see the growth the plants are taking. Deciding whether or not I should do it weekly, so changes are noticeable, or actually try to do it daily. I will have pics and info on tank soon, but I am at school right now :)
In the high school I am in, we all use laptops during class. I'm pretty happy they haven't blocked this site, probably because they haven't had a problem of students going on it during class aha :). It's used responsibly though, I am here learning on plant stuff when there is a lesson I already know about (eg nitrogen cycle in my environmental science class)(or reading poems during english, when I have already finished reading it.) or bored. Forgive my actions of a juvenile rebel

Current tank.
Activflora substrate
dosing flourish 2x a week and api root tabs.
DIY CO2 with DIY diffuser.
2x led from fluval (the nano size plant led's)

btw sorry the water is a bit foggy, I was planting around, trimming, and adjusting the sponge on my diffusor thing

Yup I feel what you mean, I'm trimming down plants every couple days. But I like that though. I'm a very antsy fish keeper and something has to be always going on, whether it be changing water, adding a dose of something, or trimming and spreading, or else I would start buying new plants all the time aha (its what happened when I had a reef, super slow growers). It prevents me from draining my small wallet dry ahahahahha

So my girlfriend let me borrow her ipod to take some pics so here they are.

I had a previous thread of my blyxa japonica doing meh... but now is really starting to multiply :D

Did a massive trimming and replanting and got rid of some plants that I didn't like any more, like the swords, an onion bulb, and the most of the ludwigia repens, it was twirling and growing at angles too much and didn't like how it was growing. Also was growing way too fast and had to trim every couple of days. I kept 2 stems in case I changed my mind, cause the one thing I liked was the crazy red color I got. Good thing though, the growing at angles means it was well lit :) (http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/plantfinder/details.php?id=26)

I was able to get store credit for all the trimmings and got myself seachem potassium and a rimless 15 gallon tank :) My friend also took me to SF to go visit aqua forest aquarium. THE BEST STORE EVER! So much ADA stuff and soooo many different plants. The store windows were glowing a greenish blue from outside. To think I am only 30 minutes away and have never visited yet.

So now I know the store is there, I am going to remake this aquarium in the rimless 15. next step is to buy a legitamate CO2 system, one more Fluval LED nano pendant (or 2 kessil 150 amazon sun), some ada soil (good thing it's a 15 gallon or this would get way too expensive), and a very nice piece of driftwood. After getting an ADA look book from the store and seeing their displays, I was liking the nano tanks with driftwood more in comparison to tanks that are mainly dragon stones with foreground plants. I am just thinking of having the plants and wood have a dark color with strong green with hint of blue tones, or the light color with a light green, orange and red tone.

So yeah :D
