Junglemike, this is fantastic work you are doing. The more we get to see and know about some of the native habitats the better. You should start working on a book, I'll buy a copy!

Few months later, I went out with another group of people who were doing research on fish at western Sarawak. during the trip, I found out another location for Crypt. cordata var. zonata. This species is common in western Sarawak.

On the first week of November, when I was exploring in a limestone outcrop of Sarawak, I discovered the 2nd location of Crypt. striolata (green form). This is a rare variety of Crypt striolata....which only grows in hardwater stream at the foothill of limestone hills.

The limestone outcrop:

Growing on limestone rocks.

The habitat.

Mike, in the picture above "striolata6-srn1109" it looks like either there's a foot long snail in the photo or the plante are tiny and it's a normal sized snail.

What's up with that?

Interesting plant. Nice find.

Michael, Google maps doesn't know where Seri Aman is, but has a Sri Aman that looks about right. Is this correct?
