Default Meetings: Aug 19th and Sept 16th

Hey everyone,

I will be hosting the meetings for the next two months. It is exciting for me because i started two new scapes a few months ago, and they are almost mature. No eyes have seen them yet

Here is what i have planned for this month.

Aug 19th at 12:00 noon

- Talk about the two scapes. I have taken a different approach to both tanks(as far as ferts and lighting) and i would like to share the pro's and con's of the approach.
- One scape will be in a huge need of a pruning. I think it will be interesting to prune the tank and then see how it looks the following month.
- After the prunning I will have a couple things available.

-Pogostemon stellatus 'Broad Leaf'
-Rotala sp. Green
-Cherry shrimp
-Branches of Manzanita
-I believe Max is going to bring some goodies for us too

- Talk about what to do for the sept meeting ( Erin and I have some cool things in the works)

If any of you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Kurt, I hope you can scoop up some folks from lancaster

Please PM me and I will send you all directions.

Thanks guys

jB

Jason,

Before anything else, I want to know how you are going to prune the Cherry shrimp - won't that make 'em mushy? Ok - enough of my twisted humor. unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to the August meeting. My wifes' sister is having her 25th wedding anniversary and I need to be there to reward my brother-in-law. I will PM you though and get that information from you to put on our calendar. Or you, and everyone else that reads this forum, can feel free to join the Yahoo group of ours (link in my sig) and post information and join some great fun conversation!!! BTW - that was a blatant promotional stunt. Thanks and I will See you in september (no singing please!)

Hey everyone!!

Last months meeting was great fun, and I would like to keep things rolling for next month. I would like to ask Mark D to finish his slide show that was interupted by technical difficulties a few months ago. Does anyone have any other ideas for this coming meeting?

Thanks

Sorry I missed last month and I really would look forward to seeing the end of that presentation. As far as I know it will not interfere with any moving plans we have so, count that as a vote for Mark to finish

Hmmmm, I don't know if this would be interesting to other more experienced members, but I wouldn't mind a lesson in hardscaping or something similar. Or maybe just talking about it using one of your tanks.

Erin has a cube that she wanted to scape as a group. We will have to talk to her to see where she wants to set it up. I think it would be most fun if we could go through the process all the way to a full tank

Also, I have talked to Mark D about finishing up his slide show. He said there is a good possibility. I will let everyone know as soon as i get a confirmation from him.
