Default DVAGA Meeting - Sept 16th

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to remind everyone that the next meeting is Sept 16th at my apt in Conshohocken. If you need directions, please PM me.

Here is what I have planned for this month.

September 16th at 1:00pm

-Interpret how last months pruning has grown in and discuss if the haircut was the best approach for the two plants we pruned.
-Discuss in further depth some approaches to aquascaping. This will include the use of wood and stone and plant growth and placement.
-I also need to trim some serious amounts moss. I will have weeping and Taiwan moss available.

As always I will have cherry shrimp for a buck a pieceJ

Also, we have a 60cm ADA rimless tank that alex is selling. The details are here…..

http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/f...-for-sale.html

….the price has since dropped to $95 for this beautiful tank.

If anyone is interested in this tank, please email me so that we can have Alex bring it to the meeting.

If any of you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

Shoot me back an email if you are coming so I can get a head count… Looking forward to seeing you all.

Thanks guys

jason

I have two male blue rams to give away, need to move them from the tank before I can throw in some Neocaridina sp. as cleaning crew. I will bring the fish to the meeting if any of you want these guys, otherwise I am giving them to LFS.

Thanks.

Hi Jason,
Although Amanos are way too big(and too aggressive) for blue ram's tiny mouth, there is still a chance that they can be attacked when molting. Of course, a heavy planted tank like yours might provide enough spots for Amanos to hide when needed. Wanna take the risk?..)

This is a tough one. But then i realized that i am tearing down my tank in a month anyway. But at the same time, i dont want you to have to give them to a LFS.

Thanks for coming guys. The smaller group really allowed us to get pretty in depth with some of our discussions.

Thanks

Thanks Jason for hosting the meeting again.
How about giving us a planted tank photographing class for October meeting?

By the way, the name for that unidentified bamboo-like species should be Arthraxon hispidus. I have some other Arthraxon species but this one grows much faster than the others do.

Sounds like I just got signed up!!! HAHA

Ok, we can do that. I will be moving the week after the meeting, so it will be the perfect time to discuss how i will shoot(photo) the tanks and move them. I will put an agenda together in a few days.

Thanks
