First off i live in the UK, where i am having difficulty sourcing some bits.

Tonight i managed to acquire the following parts.

1 14lb PUB CO2 bottle full
1 set of pub dispensor guages
1 long length of CO2 airline - drink distribution.

The airline and the guages may not surfice for aquarium issues, so please inform?

A normal CO2 regulator may have to be purchased.

Some photos are available on Regulators

A few questions.
1. Will the regulator unit surfice ? How can i get it connected.
2. If not i will have to get an ordinary 2 guage Co2 regulator. Have these a standard output fitting and thread size.
3. The most complicated bit. Since i dont live in the USA i cannot get needle valves from Clippard. Does any-one know of a source in the Uk. What do i look out for.
I have a barb fitting off an old motorcycle oiler here, would that work on a needle valve.

The dimensions are as follows.
Thread diameter 5.88mm or 0.2325 inches
Barb diameter 4.97 mm or 0.1955 inches

All photos of purchase and ideas on the link above.

Thanks

Go to the clippard web site and look for UK distributor - look under "Great Britton..."

I would ask them about regulators and fittings. The USA is pretty much NOT metric. But Clippard does sell some stuff that is metric.

Other places you might look are home beer providers - if such is done in the UK. Such in the USA deal with CO2 tanks, etc.

Tanks and regulators are oftening available at welding supply stores.

Suggest you check on some UK aquarium sites and large aquarium shops or chains.

Good luck.

Does anyone have a telephone number for the UK clippard site.

The telephone number on Clippard does not exist.

I have also tried different variations of the number but to no joy.

Cheers

Elapsed time of Google search, 1.2 seconds. Information found, Home page for The West Group. URL http://www.westgroup.co.uk Phone number well just go to the URL and look for the Contact Us link.

Am I really one of the few people who know what a "Search Engine" is used for? They can be used to find things other than Porn sites and MP3 downloads.

Thanks for the info Rex.

I had another link and telephone number, but neither worked. Got it now.

Last night i got the option of buying one of those disposable co2 systems.

The ones with the throw away bottles.

They come with the small guages and needle valves. LIke JBL, DUPLA, Dennerle and D&D

Are these valves and regulators any good for the very large CO2 bottles that you use in Pubs etc, about 15lbs i think.

Or should the large more robust regulator unit be purchased for these types of bottles.

Cheers.

I have never see the smaller bottles. But I will bet that the regulators do not fit the larger bottles. You will need to get a regulator that fits the tank you are going to use. I know here in the US all the larger bottles use a standard fitting. I'll bet it's the same in the UK.

Woa, you mean search engines are good for finding MP3s too?
