Hi my names tweed and I'm new here.I won't bore you with the typical newbie greeting, so I'll go right to my problem. Basically I have a 55g that has the normal 48in 40w flourecent light. The cover is two seperate hoods that have a small plastic strip for the light to shine through. Well I just upgraded to a 110w pc and it is too wide to fit all the light through the thin plastic "window". What else could I place on my tank so the PC is not directly over the water?

i woudl look into getting a glass top from your LFS when i looked around they were not that bad of a price, or build a hood and place the pc strip in it over the water however you may still need a glass top then it would be up to you
