Can anyone give me the approx. dimensions of a 5lb and 10lb CO2 tanK?

Also (probably a dumb question) but am I correct in assuming that they must be installed vertically?

thanks.

My 5lb aluminum cylinder and valve are 18 inches high and 5 inches in diameter. The bubble counter on a JBJ all-in-one regulator stands another inch about the top of the cylinder valve and the outlet points straight up.

10lb steel cylinder and valve are 21inches high and 6 3/4 inches in diameter. An Aquamedic regulator adds very little to the height and the CO2 outlet is downward.

A 10lb aluminum cylinder is taller and narrower than a steel cylinder.

I'm not sure that they have to be installed vertically, but I assume they do to keep the regulator above the liquid CO2.

yes, they must stand upright. In fact, securing the tank to something is a good idea. I have a velcrow strap screwed to the inside of the cabinet to hold the tank upright, just in case the cat gets inside the cabinet.
