lol Dang! I was hoping someone would have answered this, too! I'm running Eheim Liberty H/O filters on 6 of my tanks but I'd love to try a canister... just not an expensive one until I'm sure that's what I really want on my 29g tanks. Then again, if it's not a "nice" one how would I know? lol
'Guess I'll keep watching & hope someone has picked one up and will relay their thoughts. ;]

No answer yet. I did see them myself and was wondering if they were ok. I did buy some lighting from the same ebay seller and the fixture is great, but not sure about the lights for my planted aquarium.

That is three of us waiting for feedback from someone who has tried these units.

Ive had one running for almost a year now in my 45 gallon tank. It runs ok except sometimes it has some noise after cleaning the filter... which I assume is just air bubbles. I run it in my bedroom and I can barely hear it in the cabinets. Good amount of room for filter media. You get what you paid for as the thing doesn't feel the sturdiest but this is my first canister filter. When I feed my fish I reduce the flow with the lever on the output pipe. Well that lever eventually started to leak a little and I had to replace it. Luckily I live near aquatraders and was able to pick up a another one within the week to remedy this. I've read on some forums where people did tests on the flow rate and it seems the filter is a little overstated when all the media is in the tray. Some folks were speculating this is because the input piping is bigger then the output piping.

I also picked up 2x39watt t5 lamp from them and well that thing went is gone. At first a bulb started to flicker and die. Then that bulb melted the end caps to it. I turned everything off to check and removed the bad bulb. Figure I could keep running with just a bulb and get a replacement latter. Turned it back on and then I started to smell something funny and then the whole thing went dead. The smell was coming from the ballast. I also noticed in some reviews that people said some of their ballast were cheap. Once again I guess this is a thing of your mileage varrys and you get what you pay for.

I also got my tank and stand from them as the tank was going for a buck a gallon and it seems ok. I'll probably pick up a 100 or 140 from them if I decide to add a bigger tank but will stay clear of their lights and give consideration to their filters.

Thanks for the update. I like the idea of the flow throttle, but not the leak, may check it out.

I have one thats been running for 6 months or so.....

Great filter for the price ....does a good job - I have heard the same thing from several different sources about the fittings/valves not being very sturdy but I just simply dont mess with them much ... as far as replacement - easy to order and I think the full kit is about 10$
