[Wet Thumb Forum]-65W compact floro - $11

I just saw a big rack of 65W compact flourescent floodlight fixtures at wal-mart for $11 each. I've seen them at hardware stores for $40 (bulbs alone for $12), but these guys are super cheap. They're 6500k too.

I've previously used T-8s for inexpensive DIY fixtures, but these new CF lamps appear to be a cheaper, lighter and smaller option. Set one on a 10G with a glass top and you'd be ready to go in minutes.

Interesting. I'm gonna have to check that out later today. Is this in the lighting section or somewhere else?

It was in the hardware section. They were on the end of an isle to highlight them as a new product.

Err, I was at Walmart last night searching the light section. I didn't even think about checking out the hardware section.

Looks like another trip to me.

If you are in the bay area, it was at the milpitas wal-mart at 237&880. They're across from the sandpaper in the painting area of the hardware section.

There's something on the box suggesting that PG&E is subsidising the price, so it's possible these are only available on the west coast.
