I saw some polyethelene tubing at Lowes the other day. I also noticed that the stuff sold as CO2 tubing goes by the same name. The tubing itself is quite rigid, but flexible none the less. Is this the same thing?

Not from what I have seen at my local Lowe's. Besides the stuff I use is Polyurethane.

I use the stuff from lowes - Its the same stuff as what you buy otherwise, however i just had a Co2 dump, were i lost a new 5lbs of co2 over a weekend... loose fittings? maybe? bad tubing? maybe...

Not sure yet.

But it worked for several months.

The stuff from Lowe's is clear PVC if I'm not mistaken. It leaks a lot of CO2, and it gets brittle pretty quick.

Well do you suggest that expensive co2 tubing? or is there a cheaper solution?

Thanks

Rex - it's labeled as polyethelene tubing. It's translucent, and not too flexible. I was curious becuase of the HUGE price difference between "CO2 tubing" and this stuff. I won't chance it I guess, silicone seems to be just fine.

Ok, I know the stuff you are talking about. It's a really milky color. I would not want to use that stuff due to the stiffness of it.
