New Idea For Co2 Diffuser

I changed the elements of my RO yesterday. Out of curiosity I cut open the membrane cartridge. I found that it contained a roll of paper through which I could blow across but when I held it under the tap water flowed over it and not through it.

This gave me an idea of a CO2 diffuser. Two concentric pipes, the outer forming a sealed jacket for inner, the inner a through pipe perforated in the portion inside the jacket and covered with the discarded membrane of the RO.

Now introduce the CO2 into the jacket and attach the intake of your filter or a power-head and return the water through a submerged spray bar. The negative pressure in the inner pipe will ensure the movement of the CO2 from the jacket to the intake of the power-head. The CO2 would have to form the smallest bubbles possible through the membrane and their cumulative surface area must give the maximum mixing.
