Default I really need help with lighting

Hi,
I dont have much time to research anything, but i need some1 to design a ligting system for me. I need diagrams, names, everthing (Lol). But if you say something like attach a ballast to the socket, ill be like, huh?, so please could your explain in full. Sorry if i seem attacking
