Default Help in adding two CF lights?

I've got a 90 gallon aquarium with 2x96w CF lights, but they aren't as long as the tank so I have about a 24 inch gap on either side of either light. I want to add some sort of light that I can use for simple viewing; without algae problems which can occur with leaving the lights on too long. Can anyone walk me through adding two screw in type, normal lightbulb sockets where I can then insert the CF low watt usage bulbs? Or - if you have any really good ideas on how to add some lights without increasing the algae risk, I'd greatly appreciate it. THANKS!
