Default Fiance's 20 Gal. NPT

As some of you from AB surely remember, I helped my fiance set up an NPT many months ago in her classroom at work. I seldom got a chance to see the tank as her school's a bit of a hike from mine.... Anyway, last week I went up to go help her take it down and was amazed at how beautiful the tank had turned out! I was shocked! I mean, I was totally blown away by how nice the tank looked. I couldn't bear the thought of dismantling it so I convinced her to let us set it up here. Well, today we finally did and here's a couple of pics for your viewing pleasure....

I can probably get some better pictures... I'll give it another try tomorrow. Water's kinda cloudy from adding the plants from the 10 Gal. (The one that had been giving me all the algae trouble... tore it down, hated it.)

Too many plants (and I'm too tired) to list them all now, I'll update soon...

Enjoy! Comments, thoughts more than welcome.

Those are very nice pictures and what a great tank. Keep me in mind if you ever decide to trim it please. So do you have any future plans for this tank?

Ricardo, that's a beautiful healthy jungle. I'm so glad you saved it. Your anubius plants always look so nice in your tanks. Do you just sink the roots in the gravel and leave the rhizome on top?

Thanks folks!

showhillbilly: I'll keep you in mind when I need to trim this tank...

Lee: thanks, yes, I always push anubias into the substrate and then pull them out until the rhizome is just above the gravel and the roots in it. I've always gotten good healthy growth this way, more so that if I attached them to rocks or driftwood.

Ooh, beautiful tank! Did you use the original substrate when you set the tank up after moving it, or did you start with new soil?

From Alex.

Thanks Alex! I used the same substrate. I basically took out all the water (and the fish, of course) and left everything else in place. Since the water parameters at her school and here are the same or negligibly different I just filled the tank back up after we moved it and it's been doing great every since.
