Default Vals vs. Sags

I am two days into my first NPT and I just happened to read that Valisneria and Sagittaria often won't grow in the same tank. I had planted Valisneria nan and Sag. subulata. Should I pull one or the other out now before the roots grow too big, or wait and see how they do?

I have never heard of that, I have both growing in 3 of my planted tanks without problems. The only problem I had with my vals was with excel, it caused the vals to melt.....

I kind of chuckled at this as well. I have heard the same thing. I should take a picture of my Spiral vals growing amongst my dwarf sag.
