I set up a spare fish bowl a few days ago. I put in some soil, a little sand on top, some water wisteria and java moss, and a few snails. I'm planning on adding a few shrimp to the bowl soon.

Things seem well, although there's some white fungus-y things in the bowl. Should I take them out? Should I do a water change? Should I leave them?

This is my first foray into anything filterless.

I'll see if I can take some pictures soon.
