I just ordered one from Kensfish. I spoke to him and he said these were actually quieter than the Dolphin ones.

Really! Lots of people swear by Dolphin. I have two. One working and one on the "disabled list".

I have a Dolphin that I took apart because it was making a funny noise. Long story short. Hard to remove screws, metal too soft. Last one had to be drilled out. Searched Home Deport for replacements but have yet to find the correct size. I emailed them to see if I could purchase replacement screws but was told that they don't have any and offered to sell me a new pump.

Grrrrrrr ..................

Please keep us updated on the new pump! I need to buy one real soon!

BTW is this the Tetra?? If not who is the manufacturer??

I have an Air Pod pump...a lot noisier than I expected.

Really, mine was almost silent. It was only rated for a 10 gal tank.
