Default Input/Output position


Im running a Eheim Canister Filter Classic 2213 in my 30gal tank right now. ever since i got my cories they have been sifting up the sand substrate none stop! so my tank looks a little bit cloudy. My question is, whats the best position for the input/output plumbing? i have strong current in the tank and when i see debrie pass by the intake it doesnt get sucked it. it comes really close too. can anyone help me out? thanks
