Ok,
go this from a friend and instructions are indicating that this must be filled with water Prior.
Not sure here but I believe this top just doesn't come off.. I've heard to just leave it in the tank for a day or 2 and it will gradually fill. It acts as a suedo Bubble Counter as well. I tried submerging it
in the tank for a few minutes then hooked it up to the Regulator, turned it on and nothing except when I turned the dial up for more air it just Blew the Hose right off of it..

Is it brand new? Or used? I soak all my new ones for 2 days in tank water before I try to hook them up. If its used soak it in a 1:1 water/ bleach solution overnight thand rinse it off and soak it in water treated with lots of prime. Again let it sit overnight than allow it to dry. Should be good to go. Another problem could be the working pressure on your regulator is set too high if it blows the hose off.

your right on both accounts I believe. It is NEW, and soaking it must do something for that Ceramic piece or something in order for bubbles to pass through easier ?? Yes, the hose just popped off because of too much pressure.

Soak it in bleach water mix anyway. It will really open the pores that are clogged with the micro particles and such after manufacture. This is how i clean all my diffusers. After the bleach they run as good as the day I got them

Actually I just got it up and running. I let it soak overnight in the Tank and it did fill up with the Tank Water. Hooked up the airline tubing to it and WA LA !!!!!!!
