This came up in another thread recently and I've seen several members discuss it lightly in other posts. Tex Gal summed it up nicely:

---Quote (Originally by Tex Gal)---
Many people are asking others to pay for their plants and such by choosing "gift" in paypal. There are many problems with this.
1. The buyer has no recourse if things don't work out.
2. The seller can't refund, (he could regift....)
3. It's not honest.

You need to be careful as a buyer and seller if you decide to gift. It means just what it says. You are giving a gift for nothing in return if you do this.
---End Quote---

Number 3 sticks out the most to me, but the other reasons are just as important. Don't select "Gift" unless you really are giving your money away as a gift. If you are purchasing plants/goods/services, then use the appropriate PayPal category.

Here is a deeper discussion (http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/water-bucket/66755-sales-payments.html#post506909) on the matter:

The pics of the whole sets were just barely over the attachment limit, but you get the idea.

I have 2 sets that each have: 12 stems Hygro.poly, 7 stems Hygro.bold, and 1 piece of Nymphoides "Taiwan". The stems range from 3 to 13 inches, most have branchlets coming from stem. They are floating at the moment.

$8.00 shipped for each one, but keep in mind that while the plants are healthy, they are coming from a tank I just fought algae in (all types) and they may have some still on the leaves. It's getting cold, so please be aware of your local weather conditions before sending PM.

Hey folks,

I'm moving from Atlanta to Dallas and have a couple tanks, lights, and plants I'd like to sell. Rather than move all of this stuff I'd prefer to consolidate my aquariums into one larger system than have to maintain multiple separate ones when I get where I'm headed. I've already bought a new tank and am more than happy to negotiate prices on the drygoods. The plants are a fixed price.

*Tanks are pick-up only.*

_90g full setup - $450.00 OBO - GREAT FOR GROWOUTS!_
*90g All-Glass Reef Ready
*Custom Stand and Canopy (pre wired with lots of outlets in the stand)
*Wet-Dry filter with pump
*4x65 watt PC fixture OR two 2x 96w retrofit kits- first come, first served. The lights you don't choose will go with the 75g.
*Mixed sand and Flourite substrate, see the photo.

Image: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j97/SwimsWithFishes/PB090028.jpg

_75g display - $600.00 OBO_
*75g All-Glass aquarium with black background. I used this to attach plants to for a decorative wall. It would be good for some texture and color in a bare bottom tank. There's a space to hide filter intakes and heaters on the right rear corner.
*Oak stand and canopy with excellent access and lots of room. The stand/canopy are a year old and are in great shape.
*4x65 watt PC fixture OR two 2x 96w retrofit kits- first come, first served. The lights you don't choose will go with the 75g.

Image: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j97/SwimsWithFishes/PB190024.jpg

Large Anubias nana; 5-10 inches long. $10.00 apiece for as many as you want until the supply runs out.
Image: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j97/SwimsWithFishes/PB180021.jpg

Small-Medium Anubias nana; 1-4 inches long. $5.00 apiece for as many as you want until the supply runs out.
Image: http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j97/SwimsWithFishes/PB180022.jpg

Plants will be shipped USPS Priority Mail. Cost will be determined by quantity and size of plants bought.

For those with larger tanks or salt water setups-
Two Hamilton 250w HQI fixtures (single bulb) with ballasts and 14K Phoenix bulbs. BRAND NEW, IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING. $400.00 OBO.

Cheers,
Phil

WTS: Caribsea Crystal River sand/plant substrate (Local only: Northridge, CA) - 25USD

As title read.

Special ordered two bags thinking it was the perfect kind. Well, the grain size is perfect alright, but the color is way off. Instead of the advertised white-white, it is more like very light golden. Caribsea's gonna hear from me tomorrow.

Good for fresh and salt, and plant and all. Almost forgot, buy both for 45 and save 5.

Im in the Northridge, CA area. I can drop it off in the 2-3 mile radius. Each bag is 25 USD: one is unopened while the other has a small cut on one of the corner. I had to check it out. Nothing major missing, just half a tablespoon no more.
I dont mind out of state giving that you get the S&H, but I'd advise against it.

20 lb each bag

Cheers
