To calculate how much NH3 becomes NO3 is very simple:
NH3 consists 82% of nitrogen
NO3 consists 22.5% of nitrogen
So, 1g of NH3 will give 0,82g of N. To have the same amount of N in the form of NO3 we must "place" 0,82g of N into NO3. This will give 3,6g of NO3.
Thus, 1ppm NH3 will give 3,6 ppm NO3. |
