Smile Potassium Humate & Potassium Fulvate

Hi,

I have two questions, I have not found a discussion on this topic at any planted aquaria forums.

Would dosing water soluble Potassium Humate and/or Potassium Fulvate be an alternative to KNO3/K2SO4.

How effective would these be if used to fortify the substrate made of laterite+peat moss used as the bottom layer.

TIA.
