I was looking through my garage last night to find some tomorite tucked away on a shelf.dont know if you have this in the states but its a fert for veg like tomato ,peppers ect. I was lookin at the ingrediants its made up of N'P'K solution but at a much weeker rate

nitrogen (N) 4%
phosphorus pentoxise (P) 2%
potassium oxide (K) 6.6%

might be of use when dosing a non co2 tank, where you use 10% less when EI dosing co2 infected aquarium

i going to try it on a spare 5gal as an experament an closely watch my water parameters . inhert pool filter sand substrate. ill buy some cheapy plants from my pets at home and some java moss from my main tank when i next prune.

ill start off with 5ml daily till the plats tell me they need more. then 10, 15 , 20 and so on... i know its expensive but its spare. and i would like to see the turn out of it.

what are your thoughts

It apparently looks to be of organic nature and doesn't contain any harmful chemicals. Does it show anything on the bag regarding what else is in the mix?

thats the only thing i was worried about. it dosent say anything about that . i think it might work tho with a low nutrient intake.
its a litre bottle or liquid. i thought because its to fert plants for human consumption there wouldnt think there were really harsh chemicals

Yeah, from what I read, it doesn't but I didn't want to make that call. Apparently the darkish color comes from Seaweed.

From what I see, you should be safe.
