Default Curled leaves and calcium?

I've started to have stunted, curled leaves on new growth of some of my plants. From research, this appears to be a calcium deficiency. What would be the best way to correct this?

FWIW, I have a saltwater tank with calcium additives for it (Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium and Reef Buffer). I also talked with a local aquarist who recommended Calcium sulphate. And I also researched Seachem's Equilibrium, which contains calcium as well.

Any suggestions?

What micronutrient mix are you dosing if any? Do you use tap water or RO?

I'm using a dry chelated micro nutrient mix (1/8 tsp every other day). And I use tap water (50% water changes each week) and top up with RO during the week.

FWIW, My tap water is on the soft side, although I don't remember the exact KH/GH.

Hi pitabread,

I have the same problem here in Seattle due to our water which is very, very soft (1-3 degrees KH). As a result I regularly have to add calcium to my tanks to avoid stunted, curled, "singed" looking leaves. I dose CaCl (Calcium chloride) and Mg2SO4 (Epsom Salts) at the doses recommended by Rex Grigg http://www.bestaquariumregulator.com/dosing.html and the new leaves on my plants start looking much fuller and healthier in just a few days to a week. Of course, the stunted, curled, "singed" leaves do not recover.....that is what trimming is for!

BTW, here is a site I found very helpful in diagnosing deficiency problems. http://www.finostrom.com.gr/images/a...lizers/map.htm
