What's your setup? Lighting, plants, substrate and fish? Out of the bottle maybe easiest. All plants need the same nutrients but in different proportions. The fish store bottles are pre mixed for dosing, don't use standard grass ferts as they may not agree with your livestock.

check out this info http://www.aquatic-plants.org/articl...ges/index.html

Hi crazyambitionz1,

When I started out, I tried to keep it simple. All I used was Seachem Flourish Comprehesive and Seachem Flourish Trace. All my different plants grew well, and I had minimal problems. After several months I added a second, third, and fourth tank. The Seachem products were starting to eat into my budget for plants, so I went to dosing dry ferts per the PPS-Pro method and had good results as well.

I suggest you start off simple. As you get more comfortable with your setup you can experiment with more complicated fertilizing if you want to.

No they all need the same basic stuff: Macro and Micro nutrients.

Macronutrients are NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) and Micronutrients are all the traces (Fe, Mn, Mg, Zn, Cu, Mo, B).

I'd recommend buying dry ferts online and ether mixing them in distilled water or dry dosing them directly into the tank to save money. A good place to buy them would be {aquariumfertilizer.com} or if you want a pre-made product line look at {pfertz.com.}.
