Default Re: Soft Water adjustments

Thanx! But will the sulfate effect my community fish? From the Krib, they state there's 10 parts Magnessium to 39 parts sulfate, I just can't find out why some sites comment on sulfates being bad...What is it that the sulfate does?

Right now I have 120 ppm GH, 30 ppm KH, so I think my Kent Freshwater elements seemed to have brought up my hardness. Is this an acceptible range?

EDIT: bought some liquid ferts today. A guy in Canada makes them himself, he was explaining that sulfates don't dissapear from the water and slowly build, potentially causing issues. Whereas liquids (his included) don't have sulfates and won't build up.
