I've been reading a lot on here about Magnesium deficiency in soft water, but couldn't find out how to correct that. Epsom Salts came up, but how does the salts react with fish? As I understood it, Epsom Salt has two elements, the magnesium and salt. I don't want to negatively effect the fish in my tank, especially since it's a community tank.

I also heard you should maintain ratios of Magnessium and Calcium. I've only been dosing with liquid ferts, but want to get dry ferts. My main goal is to correct the soft water issues first.

Ferts been using: Flourish Excel, Nutrafin Plant Gro, Kent Freshwater essentials
C02: Nutrafin's yeast based
Lighting: 2.2WPG
Substrate: Flourite
