Default H2PO4 Solution

Hi,

I made KH2PO4 solution from dry PO4 from Aquariumfertilizer and I have a Q: each ml of this solution gives me 0.53ppm for 10 gallons of water. Now, how much do I need to dose (3 times per week) my 55g to get a consistent 2ppm of PO4 in my tank? Thank you.

My calculations are 20ml 3 times a week but, I am not sure if this is correct.

Lets say you've got 45 gal of actual column:

=(45*2)/(.53*10)
=16.98

So about 17ml a week... maybe round it up to 18 so you can dose 6ml 3x a week. A little extra won't hurt.

For future reference, the formula above consists of:

(column volume * desired concentration)/(nutrient concentration per unit that the tank is measured in)
