Hello,

my question is how do I dose EI if I do daily or everyother day water changes.

Currently I dose 8ml of macros 3 times a week and 4ml of micros 3 times a week.

1. If I make daily water changes do I just change the water and add 4ml macros and 2ml micros before lights on?

2. If I do every other day water changes do I change the water and add 8ml of macros and the next day 4ml of micros?

How large are the water changes you plan to do? And why are you choosing to do daily or every other day water changes? Is there a problem you are trying to correct?

Each water change of 50% or more re-sets the tank, so it may not matter all that much if you dose the usual amount or a lesser amount. I suppose if I knew I was definitely doing a water change the very next day, I would dose the smaller amount. If the next water change was more than a day away, I would dose the usual amount.

You can dose macros and micros on the same day, even within minutes of each other. Like Chicken suggests: Adjust the dose so that you are keeping a stable amount in the tanks.

Think of the EI recipe not as an every-other-day thing, but as a 'total amount needed in a week' sort of thing. Multiply the dosing on the chart by 3 to tell you how much to dose all week, and dose 1/7 of the week supply with every daily water change.
