does running a activated carbon filter cartridge effect ferts?

ie: EI dosing and Flourish

Yup it will. Why u want to use those things? Those will only last about a week or so. I never used it at all.

Flourish and excel are awesome. I dose with carbon in my biocube. Fresh filter. And the plants still use it. I'm sure some is a waste. But what should we do. Take it out!? Or not use carbon at all!? I'm confused when it comes to this one. Awesome thread!
